About
Urban Planning
I am an undergraduate student at Hunter College (City University of New York), dual-majoring in Urban Studies and Statistics. Transportation alternatives (and their planning) is my deepest love and eventual career path (hopefully). Land use law/innovative zoning, traffic flow modeling (hence the statistics), and the “reclaiming” of public space are all somehow tied into that, and are also of immense interest to me.
In June 2009, I joined Community Board 7’s Land Use/Landmarks Committee. And in January 2010, I became a land use policy intern at the Public Advocate’s Office.
Work
I’m currently webmaster at a not-for-profit alumni organization based in my old high school. In the past, I’ve interned at a research organization at Columbia University (ISERP), on a built environment study.
Miscellanea, in order of importance
I have a cat (named Leroy), a girlfriend (named Jennifer, an anthropology student at NYU), a love-hate affair with the New York Rangers, and a respectable suit, shirt, and tie collection.
